Learn somethin' new...

I'm a proponent of the adage "learn something new everyday"... so todays lesson was taken from an absolutely wonderful blog I found on photoblogs.org... This woman does some awesome stuff with her photos! So I did a little experimenting and although I probably need about 8 more years of practice to get as good as her.. here's my first attempt..

Oh... but then there's the old 'sepia' standby..




So... what do you think.. am I on the right track or totally lost?
