I had to have the shirt - I deserved it
ok.. so it's really Jammies... but who's gonna tell? Not me... I own at least 5 pajama tops that get worn as "street clothes" and actually 2 bottoms that get worn as pants... I guess that's one of the perks of being 40 somethin'... you just don't care what anybody thinks anymore... LOL... but promise me this... if I start wearing the pink fuzzy slippers out to dinner... pull me aside and ask me if I'm ok! Chances are I'll just say "yeah... Why do you ask?".. but... whatever...

Actually I'm a little late... I started this blog on July 8th, 2004! That's right, THREE FULL YEARS of wit, wisdom, photographs, stories, tales, rants, raves and all around general crap!
I think this is a new 'consistency record' for me... 3 full years and I'm still enjoying it... Imagine that..

Reflection of the moon in the Ware River - complete with splash down... When the water is this calm sometimes you just gotta throw a few rocks.
Gah... I seem to be falling behind in the posting... Wednesday.. Sunday... Wednesday... not good... it's just been nuts around here.. at BOTH jobs.. 2 newsletters to build per day for the day job... and the Wally World job has me working basically ALL the clothing departments due to the fact that there just isn't anyone else to get in there and clean up the freakin' messes. Luckily they at least have been getting someone to cover the phones, which leaves me free to zone. And zone I've been doing.. Monday nite found me in Intimates... then in Girls... then in Ladies... and running back and forth doing customer service for Infants as well... And if I hadn't had just 3 hours of phone coverage I would have been in Men's and Boys too. I don't mind it. It actually makes for a really quick and interesting shift. But I just don't understand how we can be missing so many people and yet they STILL feel it's necessary to cut the hours of those few people that we DO have left.. WTF? OH Well.. Whatever... I go in.. I do what I can do... Whatever doesn't get done is just their problem.
So anyway... not much time for fun... when I get down time I find that I would just as soon get in the new car and drive... I'm sure eventually I'll stop and take a few pics...

The early bird gets the rental boat...
Unfortunately we were there at 7:30pm. Just before they closed. I think this may be the next adventure (if I ever get a day off again). It does irk me though. To rent the boat you have to have a fishing license. I don't wanna fish.. I just wanna cruise around and take pictures, but the lady at the boat ramp said "No license, no boat, even if you show me that you have no fishing gear." I guess it's to keep the pleasure cruisers off the lake. You know. Like me. Either that or it's just another racket run by the state to get the 29 dollar license fee outta you, as well as the boat rental fee.

Apply directly to the forehead... not really.. but almost... this one was taken through the kitchen window because every time I go out on the porch to photograph these little guys they just about slam into my forehead in their rush to beat it out of there...
Actually it's amazing that they frequent the feeder at all. Between a porch full of cats and the occasional Stupid Little Angry Dog--it's a busy place!

Meanwhile... 24 years later...
Ayup... it's extremely scary reproducing the same photograph 24 years after the first one.
Yes... it's the same woman (me), the same spot, the same month, and even the same photographer. Only the car and the weight of the model has changed, but it's all good.

Wreath of Sparks
A semi-Goth Dude I used to work with a few years ago used to play his ipod so loud that I could hear his music from his earbuds all the way across the room as clear as day. A little Marilyn Manson and a whole lotta EB. I actually started to like it and got him to give a sample cd of some of his favorite stuff. I re-discovered it in my truck the other day and have been listening to it again. I really like it. My favorite... "Wreath of Sparks". Not that I could tell you who screams it.
