So they put that final coat of asphalt on the Belchertown end of Bay Road.. not nearly as fun driving it as it was when they had the Barrel Gauntlet set up.. but OH so nice and SMOOTH!! It's too bad the only thing I can think of when I drive it is.. FINALLY.. this had to be the longest construction job in Western Mass history.. ooopss.. scratch that.. there's the Coolidge Bridge project... OH.. and the *snicker Springfield Civic Center (why can't I mention THAT 'doomed to fail' project without snickering..) OH.. and the Memorial Bridge mess.. hhmm.. add the ramp reversal fiasco in downtown Springfield.. oh.. never mind.. I guess if you use 'average construction project time' taking 2 years to re-do a mile of road is right in the norm..
