There is always something happening on Route 9 to Bay Road, back to Route 9, across the river, thru the center of Northampton, and on down 10!

I was framed
People are SO picky... I felt it was best to find something that would protect the print... give it a finished look... and yet not be something that is distinctively "country" or "contemporary" or "too fancy" in style... I may still pick up some more frames that are wood or black or something... but for a majority of an offering... I decided on these.
What do you think?

Little Help...
Glad to see you all here. I've got a question for you. I have a craft fair coming up and I'd like your opinions. You all get a segment of my photo's here and I was wondering if you had any favorites that you think would do well as greeting cards, prints or even jewelry. Should I offer framed prints? or Prints at all? What about posters? As for jewelry, I'm thinking of doing some lapel pins (they are resin coated so they will look almost like they are embedded in glass). Which of my pics would you wear on your chest? Any? None? What size prints do you think? What about framed 4x6 or 5x8? or should I just offer "naked prints"? or maybe just matted prints ready for framing?
Maybe it depends on what kind of craft fair. This is to benefit the Children's Miracle Network - being held May 19th - in the parking lot of the Westfield, Mass Wal-Mart parking lot. I've taken 2 parking spaces, so I do have a good deal of room. Anyone have any display ideas? I need to be sure that it's wind-proof. I have a standard rotating card rack and several tables and a pop-up tent. But I could use some really good "eye-catching - get your butt over here" ideas.
Any help would be appreciated. What would you like to see?

Separation Anxiety
Another one for the Utata "Picture This" series, where they give you the title and you make the picture... this couldn't have worked out more perfectly... I was figuring on just getting some shots of her tugging on the toy and as luck would have it.. she lost her grip just as I hit the shutter... serendipity..

A new blog...
I was contacted last week by Masslive.com (my local newspaper's website) asking me to write a Photo Blog for them. Here is post number ONE... YAY!
They haven't added my new blog to their menu system as yet, I imagine they were waiting for me to actually post something to it first... so for now you will have to get there via the direct address: http://blog.masslive.com/bayroadphoto/
Not to worry... I'll still continue with this one, and will try to keep each blog unique!

And MORE good news...
Laura,Yeah... this is the Johnny Appleseed Trail Guide - given away free along Route 2 across the great state of Massachusetts! I can't wait to get a copy... or even notification of which image they selected for the guide... I'll certainly let you know as soon as I do... and you can bet that there will be a photo of the photo when I get a copy of the Guide itself!
I need to send you a (small) check for photo used in The Guide … You may have sent me your mailing address, but I can’t seem to locate it.
Can you tell me where to send this?
Thanks
Pat

"Holy Mary, Mother of God, Pray for us sinners..."

Wile E. Coyote heads to College...
**THIS JUST IN - OH - The power of the InterWeb**
I received the following email in response to this post:
Hello Laura,
Your blog with the photo of the coyote on the campus of Salve Regina came to my attention through Google. I hope that your son and husband enjoyed their visit to campus over the weekend.
I wanted to address your comment about the coyote and the appearance that it seemed to be standing near a day care center. The building that the coyote was photographed in front of is used by our education department, and that room is a simulation of an elementary school classroom – for future teachers to test ideas etc.
With regards to the coyote, we have notified local and state authorities, but they are unable to remove the animal at the present time. We have notified the campus community of the coyote’s presence and have instructed individuals to keep a safe distance as a precautionary measure.
I just wanted to clarify this for you in case you were concerned.
Thank you.
